We are looking for a student/scientific assistant (m/f/d) at the earliest possible date at the Cologne location, in the Semantic Technologies team in the research project NFDI4DataScience, temporary for the duration of 6 months part-time (10-20 hours/week) with the option of extension.
Your future responsibility:
- Design and conduct user experience and usability studies for existing and in-development websites
- Design and development of proof-of-concept software solutions aligned with the NFDI4DataScience project and aimed at end users
- Design and development of front-end prototypes for the navigation of information search and recommendation systems
- Active participation in project, team and institutional meetings
Your professional qualifications and personal skills:
- You should be enrolled in a Master's or Bachelor's degree programme in computer science, information science, media informatics or similar fields
- Enjoy contributing ideas and be able to adapt to changing requirements
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Good knowledge of English
- Good knowledge of user experience
- Python knowledge would be an advantage
