The entire MAK Collection from 1972 to 2019 now available as a second publication in PUBLISSO - Repository for Life Sciences

In addition to the current issues, which have been published by ZB MED since 2020, the secondary publications now complete the range.

The Permanent Senate Commission for the Investigation of Health Hazards of Chemical Compounds in the Work Area of the German Research Foundation (MAK Commission) publishes the so-called MAK Collection: the MAK and BAT value list and the journal The MAK Collection for Occupational Health and Safety. The abbreviation MAK stands for Maximum Workplace Concentration, BAT for Biological Agent Tolerance Values. Since 2020, the publications have appeared in the open access gold standard as first publications on PUBLISSO, ZB MED's open access publication portal.

In addition to these new publications, the almost 4,000 articles from the MAK Collection for Occupational Health and Safety published between 1972 and 2019 have now also been republished in PUBLISSO - Fachrepositorium Lebenswissenschaften. In a next step, these publications will be enriched with detailed and corrected metadata and republished on PUBLISSO. The aim is to bring together the entire holdings in the MAK Collection and to further develop the content in order to maximise usability. In this way, the entire MAK Collection is to be made centrally accessible as a knowledge base for practice and research.
