Who are The Carpentries?
The Carpentries are a non-profit organization based in California, USA. The Carpentries offer training in Data Science (Data Carpentry), Software Programming (Software Carpentry) and Library (Library Carpentry).
The Carpentries' format aims to provide participants with basic knowledge on three different IT topics (e.g. programming languages, data structures, data management) in a two-day workshop. The content imparted should lay a foundation on which the participants can then build independently.
