Invitation: "Everything you need to know about Library Carpentry and more..."
Library Carpentry is a diverse, global community of volunteers that develops lessons and teaches workshops for and with people working in library- and information-related roles. The goal is to create an on-ramp to empower this community to use software and data in their own work as well as be advocates for and train others in efficient, effective and reproducible data and software practices.
Chris Erdman, the Library Carpentry Community and Development Director, will present the ideas, concepts and approaches behind Library Carpentry and how Library Carpentry and the Carpentries intends to grow the community.
After the talk we would like to invite you to discuss ongoing and planned Library Carpentry related activities in your institution as well as your needs and wishes regarding it.
