ZB MED – Information Centre for Life Sciences and the knowledge platform AMBOSS are launching a cooperation to optimize medical information provision for students and physicians in Germany. Through direct linking from AMBOSS to the ZB MED search portal LIVIVO, users receive quick and often free access to relevant academic literature.

In the future, users of the AMBOSS knowledge platform will be able to access the original scientific sources referenced in the AMBOSS program directly by clicking on the link Open in LIVIVO by ZB MED. The coverage reaches over 90 percent, with approximately 80 percent of the books available at ZB MED. About 67 percent of the journal articles are already licensed for ZB MED remote access, allowing users to access them free of charge. The only requirement is registration with ZB MED and residence in Germany. This simplifies medical research and enables straightforward access to scientific literature.

With this collaboration, the partners strengthen evidence-based medicine and simplify access to relevant specialist literature for medical professionals.
