The first floor includes the journal reading room (abbreviated in German as LSZ) containing all journal issues from the year 2000 (not available for borrowing), numerous workstations, a photocopier, scanner and toilets.
The second floor contains the main reading room (abbreviated in German as LS) with reference works shelved according to subject area (not available for borrowing), several workstations and toilets.
The first basement level contains the open stacks with books acquired prior to 1991 (may be borrowed by registered users), all journal issues dating from 1980 to 1999 (not available for borrowing) and part of the textbook collection, which can only be borrowed by Bonn students.
Books acquired prior to 1991 and journal issues acquired in 1979 or earlier are located in the closed stacks on the second basement level. Please order these items from the desk on the same floor. Some of these items can be ordered through the catalogue, but others require you to fill out a charge slip in person at the library.
