An online platform for epidemiological surveillance, visualization, analysis and typing of Coxiella burnetii genomic sequences
CoxBase is a central database of genomic information on Coxiella burnetii and Q fever. Designed as an interactive, web-based platform, it caters to a broad range of applications. Specialists benefit from a one-stop database of information and applications that allows them to carry out more sophisticated sequence analysis. At the same time, the database acts as a more general source of information for users from a range of other disciplines including medicine and veterinary medicine. CoxBase offers a clear and intuitive way for researchers to visualise sequencing data, providing a level of accessibility that is essential for reaching a broad-based target audience.
The CoxBase development project was run by the Q-GAPS consortium. The database provides a powerful tool for molecular epidemiological surveillance and analysis of Q fever.
