The aim of the “Living Handbook of Perishable Food Supply Chains” project was to enhance and expand the Living Handbooks publication platform. Based on the open source software Drupal, this platform provides an agile framework for publishing handbooks in the field of life sciences. In collaboration with the University of Bonn’s Cold Chain Management working group, the development team strived to further enhance the platform to meet the current requirements of modern publishing in the life sciences. This includes features such as a dynamic comparison of different countries to ensure publications are always kept up to date.
