Base4NFDI: DMP4NFDI

Data management plans for the German National Research Data Infrastructure

DMP4NFDI is a centralised basic service for managing data management plans (DMPs) and software management plans (SMPs) across the NFDI.  It supports NFDI consortia in developing and providing standardised DMPs and SMPs. Built on the open-source tool RDMO as its technical framework, the service provides a flexible and interoperable infrastructure tailored to the specific needs of each consortium. At the same time, it promotes cross-consortia collaboration on DMP templates. The goal of DMP4NFDI is to enhance efficiency and interoperability in research data management by engaging consortia early on in the development and standardisation of DMP templates.

ZB MED’s role in the project

ZB MED’s primary responsibility is to establish and deliver the support structure and training framework for the service, including the development of training materials. ZB MED also works closely with all project partners to carry out additional activities, including:

  • Organisational tasks, outreach efforts and communication with consortia.
  • Providing technical and content-related support.
  • Offering consultations and training sessions.
