Terminology Services for the German National Research Data Infrastructure
ZB MED’s role in the project
Working in partnership with two other institutions ‒ Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron (DESY) and the Berlin State Library ‒ ZB MED is responsible for setting up the Base4NFDI evaluation framework (Task Area 3). This task includes
- establishing coherent application, decision-making and selection processes for basic services;
- measuring the progress of individual basic service candidates;
- monitoring the appropriateness of the selection process;
- supporting the decision-making process by compiling dossiers and ensuring quality assurance of the applications.
Section Liaison Officers are also part of Task Area 3. Their job is to support the work of NFDI Sections in which cross-cutting topics are discussed across disciplinary boundaries. This support is primarily aimed at activities related to potential basic services, from the coordination of discussions across Sections to advice and consulting during the application process.
