Network of University Medicine (NUM): Study Network research infrastructure
The NUM Study Network aims to establish an effective framework for Germany-wide cooperation in the field of clinical and clinical-epidemiological studies. To this end, it works closely with existing infrastructures, networks and researchers and helps streamline processes through organisational and structural measures. By simplifying administrative and operational tasks and transferring them into study-supporting structures, the network seeks to relieve study leaders of these burdens. This will allow more studies to be initiated in less time and more patients to be recruited for studies within a reliable timeframe. Additionally, it will improve the quality of data and biosample collection.
ZB MED’s role in the project
ZB MED is tasked with developing a concept to ensure interoperability between the NUM Study Network and the Health Study Hub. The goal is to enable the Study Platform’s central service to be used for publishing data.
