The local organizing committee and the board of GfÖ have decided to postpone the 2020 conference by one year due to the global Corona-virus situation. Despite all hopes that the situation could improve significantly by September, we believe that under the given circumstances a conference this year is not possible. It is still highly uncertain whether the conference can take place and the present situation does not allow a coordinated preparation that meets the expectations of the participants. That we have to postpone just our Jubilee Conference is of course bitter, but unfortunately it cannot be changed. Thankfully, our colleagues in Braunschweig have agreed to host the conference in 2021 as well. Their willingness to host the conference next year cannot be taken for granted and is very much appreciated!
