Conference details
EACR Cancer Metabolism
Conference Officer: Chris Iliffe <christopher.iliffe@eacr.org>
This conference will gather top experts in the field of cancer metabolism to discuss the metabolic alterations in tumours and how we can exploit this to treat cancer. Topics to be covered include: metabolic reprogramming in cancer beyond anabolism, metabolic transformation in cancer cells, metabolic signalling in cancer, metabolic cross-talk in the tumour microenvironment, metabolic regulation of gene expression, immune cell metabolism in cancer, nucleotide metabolism and cancer, metabolic approaches to cancer therapy, and systemic metabolic changes and their effects on cancer progression.
The target audience for this conference is basic and translational scientists and clinicians, both senior and young investigators that want to have a broad and detailed overview of the most recent advances in the field of cancer metabolism.
Speakers: Alexia-Ileana Zaromytidou (Nature Cancer, USA), Martin Bergo (Karolinska Institutet, Sweden), Arkaitz Carracedo (CIC Biogune, Spain), Alejo Efeyan (CNIO, Spain), Ayelet Erez (Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel), Sarah-Maria Fendt (VIB-KU Leuven Centre for Cancer Biology, Belgium), Christian Frezza (CECAD, Germany), Marcus Goncalves (Will Cornell Medicine, USA), Marcia Haigis (Harvard Medical School, USA), Naama Kanarek (Boston Children’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School, USA), Elisabeth Letellier (University of Luxembourg, Luxembourg), Wilhelm Palm (DKFZ, Germany), KJ Patel (University of Oxford, UK), Matthew vander Heiden (Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research, USA), Karen Vousden (The Francis Crick Institute, UK), Eileen White (Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey, USA), and Mariia Yuneva (The Francis Crick Institute, UK)
