The course is aimed at last year residents, general radiologists and
general practitioners who want to update their knowledge on new
applications, optimised protocols and the most recent achievements
in diagnostic imaging as related to topics across the modalities. The
course offers the opportunity to widen the knowledge and state-of-the-art applications in day-to-day practice of radiology and to serve professional development by expanding radiological education and training.


 


Learning objectives
• to refresh and update knowledge on MRI and MDCT optimised and advanced protocols for a number of clinical applications, including brain, heart, chest, abdomen, musculoskeletal and vascular imaging
• to become familiar with the indications, limitations and comparative merits of each of the cross-sectional imaging modalities, MDCT, MRI, in a wide range of clinical conditions
• to learn more about most important imaging features and diagnostic work-up in such applications and understand the clinical relevance of imaging findings to patient management
