Dear Colleagues and Friends,
It is our great honour and privilege to invite you to the 60th Annual Meeting of the Society of Thrombosis and Haemostasis Research (GTH) together with the Israel Society of Thrombosis and Haemostasis. The meeting will be held from 17 to 20 February 2016 at the "Messe and Congress Centrum Halle Münsterland" in Muenster.
Bleeding and thrombotic disorders are common and still challenging complex medical problems. Therefore interdisciplinary research and education in the field of thrombosis and haemostasis is indispensable to improve the health of our population. No other medical discipline encompasses as many different organ systems and affects patients of different ages from newborns to the elderly, women as well as men in equal measure.
In the light of our meeting theme “Haemostasis an indispensable, cross-sectional medical discipline – networking and collaboration between interdisciplinary scientists, clinicians, industry and patients” all those involved in research and/or clinical practice in the broad interdisciplinary field of thrombosis and haemostasis will find interest in this meeting.
An international and a local advisory board have chosen session topics and formats to best fit the needs of our diverse audience. The scientific programme will serve as a knowledge transfer forum and stimulate an extended and constructive discussion. A panel of internationally recognized speakers will present “state-of-the-art” lectures. We especially extend a warm welcome to our junior colleagues to join and actively shape the upcoming meeting.
We hope to see as many of you as possible in the beautiful Westphalian “metropolis”, Muenster, embedded within the charming landscape of the “Muensterland”. Come and see why Muenster has been awarded the city with the highest quality of life in the world in 2004.
