The interdisciplinary course consists of 6 day-modules. Each comprises lectures, hands-on sessions and visits to operating rooms. The course gives an extensive overview of medical technology in digital operating rooms from different angles along with insights into current research projects and problems.
Topics:
• computer-assisted technologies in cardiovascular and image-guided interventions
• computer-assisted technologies and navigation systems in head and neck interventions
• computer-assisted technologies, robotics and endoscopy in urology and visceral surgery
• background infrastructure for computer-assisted technologies: patient models, workflows and technical standards in operating rooms
• operating room infrastructure
