This course has been designed to familiarise young radiologists with
the established approaches and most recent achievements in diagnostic imaging, related to oncology. Internationally renowned European experts ensure a high-quality teaching programme combining lectures and interactive case discussions.
Learning objectives
• to review the evolving role and diagnostic potential of different imaging modalities in the multidisciplinary management of common oncologic diseases
• to explain the clinical significance of early tumour detection and the necessity of staging for appropriate therapy planning and correct estimation of prognosis
• to discuss the role of imaging in therapy monitoring, restaging and follow-up of selected malignant tumours
• to promote the widespread use of uniform technical protocols and diagnostic algorithms with the highest possible quality standards
