The brain is the organ of emotions, cognition, communication, and social skills. When it is damaged, any of the assumptions that underlie conventional psychotherapy can be altered. Neuropsychotherapy, first named in 1989, is the creative adaptation of psychotherapy to the resplendent diversity of changes resulting from brain disabilities. It differs from conventional psychotherapy in content, technique, and social context.Neuropsychotherapy - Reframing Psychotherapy for People with Brain Disabilities!
The workshops will be very interactive, and those attending will be encouraged to offer challenging commentary on how the problems described might have been managed in other, perhaps more effective ways.
