Remote access: ZB MED expands range of publications from Mary Ann Liebert to 81 titles
Founded in 1980, the broad-based STEM publisher Mary Ann Liebert Inc. (MAL), which was only founded in 1980, is a special case among scientific publishers: its owner, Mary Ann Liebert, still takes care of publishing the latest research and runs the company in competition with the well-known branch giants. ZB MED's cooperation with the specialist publisher includes not only the provision of remote access licences but also the management of a consortium for Germany.
ZB MED was able to expand the remote access licence package at MAL from 7 to 81 titles this year. All e-journals that are available free of charge in ZB MED remote access can be found in the EZB (Electronic Journal Database). You will recognise the link for remote access by the notice: "Only in the reading rooms of ZB MED and via remote access for registered ZB MED users".
Anyone who already has a valid ZB MED user card can log in to remote access using the data on their card. People who do not yet have a ZB MED ID card and whose place of residence is in Germany can apply for a so-called virtual ID card, which is issued quickly and at no cost. This ID card allows access to our entire range of remote access services.
