Prof. Dr. Juliane Fluck becomes member of the advisory board of the Centre for Cancer Registry Data
The Centre for Cancer Registry Data (ZfKD) is located at the Robert Koch Institute. On the one hand, its main goal is to provide scientific research with reliable data on cancer in Germany. On the other hand, the task is to provide the interested public with comprehensive information on cancer. In order to achieve this, the ZfKD compiles the anonymised data of the epidemiological state cancer registries at the federal level. The team at the Robert Koch Institute then evaluates the data for Germany across the federal states.
The Advisory Board of the ZfKD has the task of providing the Centre with expert advice on its tasks. This also includes supporting the definition of standards for technical, semantic, syntactic and organisational interoperability.
Juliane Fluck has been appointed to the committee for the first time. At ZB MED, she is head of the Knowledge Management department. At the same time, she holds a professorship for information management at the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Bonn.
