Profile
Born in Cologne, Germany, Elke Roesner studied at Freie Universität Berlin, obtaining a Master’s degree in business administration and modern German literature with a specialty in marketing and management. She began her career in the book trade, working in a marketing role at a specialist publisher in Cologne. In 2001, Elke Roesner joined ZB MED as a research assistant, taking over as Head of Marketing in 2006. During this period, she continued to study on a part-time basis, obtaining a Master’s degree in library and information science from Humboldt-Universität in Berlin. She currently focuses on strategic marketing, content marketing, storytelling/video and HR management.
