E-books for purchase on demand (DDA)

One of the ways we make our e-books available is through the "ProQuest EbookCentral (EBC)" platform. EBC offers e-books from various publishers.

Under the profile specially tailored to ZB MED, on this platform more than 14,200 e-books are currently (as of April 2024) offered under license and more than 12,300 e-books are available for purchase on demand.

Are you missing titles in the ZB MED stock? Then suggest titles from the EbookCentral portal for purchase that we have not yet licensed!

The prerequisite is a registration for remote access beforehand as well as a one-time registration with "ProQuest EbookCentral".

  • Step 1: Log in to remote access with your ZB MED user card or your virtual user card. 
  • Step 2: After registering once on „ProQuest EbookCentral“ you can suggest titles for purchase, by first clicking on the title and submitting your request with "Anfrage“ (or "Request" on the English interface).
  • Titles that you can suggest for purchase on demand can be recognized by a yellow dot or the note "Verfügbar auf Anfrage“ (or "Available on request" using the English interface of EBC)

You will receive a short notice whether we include the requested title in our stock.

You will also find a large part of our e-books for purchase on demand in LIVIVO, from there you will be directed to the purchase proposal
